How Often Should I Post for SEO?

blogging for seo

As a business owner, you know the significance of a strong online presence to be successful in today’s business world. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the key to achieving that online presence, and one effective way to enhance it is through regular and consistent blogging. But the question arises, how many blogs should you post per month to optimize your SEO efforts? In this blog, we’ll provide you with some insights on the ideal frequency of blog posting for optimal SEO results.

Blog Posting Guide for SEO

The answer to how many blogs you should post per month for SEO is not always straightforward. It largely depends on your industry, competition, and target audience. However, the general guideline is that businesses that want to enhance their online presence through SEO-driven blogging should post at least one to two blog posts per week.

The more you blog, the more chances you have to rank for your target keywords in search engines. With each blog post, you create a new page for search engines to index. As Google recognizes your website as a source of quality and informative content, it can eventually lead to higher page rankings and traffic. The more frequently you blog, the more traffic you can potentially attract.

But, it’s essential to understand that posting just any content many times a week won’t work for SEO. Your blog should be valuable and informative to both your target audience and search engines. Your blog should incorporate the keywords relevant to your business, the trending topics in your industry, and the content that provides more contextual information than your competitors.

Posting too infrequently can hinder your SEO efforts as well. When you don’t post often, potential readers may perceive your blog or website as outdated, and search engines may view it as information that’s not worth including in the results page. Posting less than once a week can also lead to a decrease in site engagement, as readers don’t have anything new to come back for.

What Should Your SEO Optimized Blog Posts Include?

Keyword Research

Keyword research is an important part of creating effective SEO blog posts. By researching relevant keywords, you can ensure that your blog posts are targeting the right audience and are optimized to appear in search engine results. When conducting keyword research, it’s important to focus on long-tail keywords that are relevant to your topic and have high search volume. Additionally, you should also aim to include a variety of related keywords throughout your post so that it ranks for multiple terms.

Quality Content

Creating quality content is essential when it comes to SEO blog posts. Your content should be well-researched, informative, and engaging in order to capture the attention of readers and encourage them to share your post with others. Additionally, you should strive to make sure that your content is free from spelling and grammar errors so as not to detract from its overall quality.

Internal Links

Including internal links within your blog posts is another great way to increase their SEO value. Internal links help search engines understand the structure of your website by providing a clear path for them to follow as they crawl through its pages. Additionally, including internal links in your posts will help keep readers on your website longer, which can improve its ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs).

In conclusion, regular, high-quality SEO-driven blogging is a crucial aspect of any online presence strategy. While the ideal frequency of blogging may differ among businesses, posting at least once or twice a week is a good starting point. It’s essential to publish quality content that’s informative, engaging, and relevant to your industry that provides context for the readers. With the right consistency and quality, you’ll enhance your online presence, and the potential for increased traffic, leads, and conversions will rise.

Beginner’s Guide to Monetizing Your Blog

Have you ever dreamed of working anywhere in the world on your own schedule? One week you’re at the beach with your toes in the sand. The next, you’re hiking a mountain range. If you’d love the opportunity to work in your pajama’s, you’re not alone.

But how do you get the job that allows this flexibility? Thousands of writers are now supporting themselves by monetizing a blog. However, building a blog that earns revenue does not happen overnight. It requires strategy, time, and most of all, hard work.

The first year you might not earn a dime. If you keep working hard, maybe you’ll earn a few bucks… then a hundred… eventually thousands per month, all within the freedom of your schedule!

Interested? Before you start typing your first blog post, it’s essential that you know how to monetize your blog. There are four core strategies to make beaucoup bucks. As you develop your blog, you may decide to choose one or two that fits best with your vision.

How do I monetize my blog?

Google AdSense

Google AdSense is the most popular go-to source of income for bloggers. You earn revenue by connecting your website to the largest network of online advertisers. Advertisers pay for ad space through Google and when you connect your site to Google AdSense, relevant ads show up on your site. When the ads are clicked, you make money.

For example, Christy syncs her baking food blog to Google AdSense. She posts a new recipe on oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. A fan is reading her blog and sees a banner ad at the bottom for Bob’s Mill Baking products. The fan clicks on the product ad. Christy makes money.

Google AdSense provides a free, flexible platform for making money with relevant ads. It’s a great tool to use if you’re building traffic and want to start monetizing your blog. Google AdSense is also extremely easy to set-up. All you have to do is create an account and add a line of code to your website.

Amazon Affiliate Marketing

Have you ever noticed bloggers posting products directly on their website that link to Amazon? The product is probably on a “Top 10…” or “Best Of…” article. You click on the link and can buy the item that’s reviewed. This is the Amazon Affiliate Marketing program.
Almost any type of blog can utilize this tool to make money. In fact, Amazon Affiliate Marketing can make a lot of money with minimal effort.

For example, Scott is an outdoorsman that provides survivalist tips, as well as some of the best gear to take on an adventure. He writes an article on backpacking gear and it goes viral with the outdoor community. Any product someone buys through one of his Amazon links will net him profit.

Visit the Amazon Associates website for more information. You’ll need to create an account with Amazon, list your website(s), and explain your method of selling. You can then create affiliate links to add to your blog. If you review products on your blog, Amazon Affiliate Marketing is a smart choice to help you earn revenue.

Sell a Digital Product

Instead of selling another person’s product, why not sell your own? I’m suggesting creating an e-commerce site selling hand-painted rocks. There are a variety of digital products you can create and sell. The most popular digital products amongst bloggers are e-books and online courses.

For example, I could turn this short introduction article about monetizing a blog into a lengthy course. The course could include content planners, keyword research, and basics of optimizing your articles for search engines. Can you tell I have been toying with the idea?

Selling a digital product may not be as quick and easy as a 1,000-word blog article with a link to Amazon. However, you keep 100% of the profits. Some experts are even selling courses for thousands of dollars.

Charge for Guest Posts

Charging for guest posts is a relatively new way to monetize your blog. The trend started when Google announced that websites needed backlinks to build their rankings on search engines. Now, thousands of digital marketers across the world are spending money on guest posting services to earn those links.
What is a guest post?

A guest post is when another blogger provides an article for your site with links back to their site. As the owner of the blog, you can charge if someone wants to guest post. The amount for a guest post ranges from $25 to $500 for attorney or medical blogs.

As a digital marketer, I know the demand for bloggers who are willing to accept guest posts. Incorporating guest posts can be extremely profitable once your website gains traffic. The more domain authority your website gains, the more you can charge for marketers to guest post. It’s also one of the easiest methods for your blog to make money since you don’t even have to write. All you have to do is communicate with concise guidelines and choose an invoicing gateway, such as PayPal.

Monetizing your blog is no easy task. At the beginning you will work for nothing. Stick with it! If you do, you can live a more flexible lifestyle on your own terms. Hard work pays off.

Why You Must Add a Blog to Your Website

Marketing has many different avenues. There is social media marketing, SEO, print, radio, billboards – the list goes on. Nevertheless, blogging is one of the best things that you can do to build a new client base.

As an online marketer, I know that an optimized blog can improve your professional reputation, help you gain leads and sales, and increase your rankings on Google. Let me explain how this works:

Improves Your SEO

Every business owner I know wants to rank on the first page of search engines. If you have higher rankings than you can gain more traffic to your website, therefore exposure to potential clients. A variety of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methods can increase your likelihood of ranking on the first page of Google. Blog articles are one of the most important methods to include into your SEO strategy.

Why Blogs Are Valuable for SEO

Blogs create opportunity for your website. You can strategically place keywords, back links, and images that creates domain authority. Blogs create more content for Google and other search engines to index. You can also link your blogs to social media.

Makes You Appear as an Expert in Your Industry

Most businesses have fierce competition. When you have competition, you have to find a way to make yourself stand out.

You could create amazing ads and beautiful social media posts but it’s essential that you depict yourself as an expert. There are two great ways to portray your expertise online:

  1. Portfolio
  2. Blog Articles

In your blog provide tips and “how-to” articles. For example, if you are an interior decorator, provide “Best Interior Paint Color Combinations,” or “Laminate Versus Hardwood”. You are not only a service provider but a resource of knowledge.

Gives Your Brand a Voice

Your clients want to work with a business that they can trust. Writing blog posts personalizes your company. You can optimize these effects by introducing the author at the beginning of the article.

Do not be afraid to say, “As the business owner of blank…” That way, your audience will know that the article is being written by an expert.

You might notice that, I use this technique throughout my blog articles. I do not want my readers to feel like they are reading another generic blog article. Readers are obtaining information from the perspective of an online marketer and small business owner.

Creates Opportunities for Backlinks

How many times have you found a random article online and posted it on social media? Probably more than you can count!

Your blogs provide opportunities for others to share as a resource on social media or link on their own website. Inevitably, sharing content can get you more traffic on your website which is great for SEO! Create beautiful blog articles for plenty of opportunities to flourish on the web.

If you do not have a blog on your website, it is time to start! I recommend posting a new article once a week. Contact the professionals at Get Global Marketing in Bend, Oregon to get you started.
